With Digital marketing you will utilize the world of the internet and social media.
In this way you can use social media to reach a wider customer base. You can create social media account on platforms like Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, just to name a few. You can showcase your products and build up a following over time by posting about your products You can then leave those post up as long as you need to and or create new versions of the same posts. The people who follow your social media pages are all potential customers. The best part is that its free advertising for your products.
Social Media Influencers
This is another form of digital marketing. With this method you would reach out to someone on a social media platform to advertise your products/ service on your behalf. Of course you will have to pay them. Their fees vary but, in most cases, it's cheaper than a T.V commercial.
You are probably asking yourself why should you have to spend money on a social media to market your products? Here is a tip. Think about every time you are watching T.V and a commercial comes on for the top cell phone carrier like Verizon or T-Mobile. Or maybe a car commercial for Ford, Nissan or Toyota. Maybe the latest iPhone or Samsung phones. These are companies that are well known, yet still they spend millions of dollars on Marketing every year. Now compare the popularity of those products to yours, how many people know about your products and knows how and where to find your products for purchase. Hopefully this puts things into perspective for you and help you to understand why it wouldn't hurt to spend just a little bit on digital marketing.
When choosing a social media influencer, you want to ensure that their brand aligns with yours. Its best to choose an influencer whose social media aligns with your products. For example, if your products are wigs and hear products, you should choose an influencer who post content about hair. if you have a make-up line, chose an influencer who post about how to apply make-up.
Now of course there are exceptions to the rules when choosing an influencer. Some social media pages are faceless. But if you scroll thru those social media pages and see who their followers are and what are the coming on and about, you can get an idea of that will be a good page to advertise with.
The good thing about this form of digital marketing is that you can reach a very wide audience. A good influencer will showcase your products/service in such a way that their audience will be influenced to come check out your products.
So, if you are selling physical products, you should make sure you have a way for those customers to order from you. So, you should ensure that you have a website available with your products ready for customers to order and you ship it to them.
If you are selling a digital product the same principle works, except that you won't have to worry about shipping. Your digital product should be ready for download as soon as a customer purchases it. Digital products are a great way to make a profit online.
